Lough Derg, Fishing & Accomodation


Lough Derg is the largest lake on the river Shannon. The lake is a natural mixed fishery offering superb pike and coarse fishing. Lough Derg has many islands and sheltered bays that offer interesting and exciting places for fishing. Bream, Tench, Rudd, Roach and Perch can be fished from a lake boat.

Our accomodation comprises of three houses which are set in 30 acres nestling right on the shores of Lough Derg. Guests only have to walk to the end of the garden to start fishing. We have a private pier on Lough Derg and also supply bait fridges and tackle storage. Each house sleep up to 6 people.

Our houses are ideally located for visiting the many wonderful tourist attractions in Clare, Limerick and Galway. The Burren, The Ailwee Caves as well as Bunratty Castle and Folkpark are among the most popular visitor attractions in the area. There is also a golf course and horse riding centre near our accomodation. Galway City and Limerick City are both under one hours drive.
